GETTING HERE

City taxis and ride-hailing vehicles use a dedicated drop-off point at the main Tersane İstanbul entrance. Arrival takes approximately 20 minutes from Taksim and 45 minutes from Istanbul Airport. Central points such as Karaköy, Beşiktaş, and Galataport are all within a short ride. Before boarding, please ensure the taximeter is running and ask the driver for "Tersane İstanbul main entrance" as your destination. The waterfront route tends to flow more smoothly; during peak hours you may suggest the Atatürk Boulevard alternative. Most taxis accept credit cards as well as İstanbulcard for payment. The drop-off zone is located right next to our main welcome point, with luggage assistance available for guests arriving with bags. For your return journey, our doormen can call a taxi on your behalf, minimising any wait. In the evening, a ride along the Golden Horn waterfront offers a memorable view of the city lights reflecting on the water.

The metro is the most practical way to reach us by public transport. From Şişhane station on the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman line, or Halıcıoğlu station on the M7 Mecidiyeköy–Mahmutbey line, Tersane İstanbul is just a short walk or transfer away. Travel time from the city centre is approximately 25–30 minutes. Fares on all metro lines are paid via İstanbulcard, which can be easily purchased from vending machines and ticket booths at every station entrance. Trains run frequently from early morning until midnight, with uninterrupted service on weekends. If a transfer is required, in-station signage is provided clearly in both languages. The walk from the metro exits to the destination follows well-lit, secure pathways with views of the Golden Horn. During rush hour, the metro is significantly faster and more predictable than driving. For accessibility, both stations are equipped with lifts and escalators throughout.

Reaching Tersane İstanbul by ferry is one of the city's most enjoyable alternatives. Golden Horn line ferries departing from Eminönü and Karaköy stop at Hasköy and Halıcıoğlu terminals; from either point, the destination is a short walk away. The journey takes around 20–25 minutes and offers panoramic views of the Golden Horn from start to finish. Ferries operate at regular intervals throughout the day; up-to-date schedules can be tracked via the İETT and Şehir Hatları apps. Fares are paid with İstanbulcard and transfer discounts apply. Ferry terminals offer sheltered waiting areas, ensuring a comfortable journey even on rainy days. This short trip — taken with the Golden Horn breeze on deck — becomes especially memorable at sunset. Starting from the Galata Bridge, you can take in the silhouette of the historic peninsula before approaching Tersane's restored shipyard buildings from the water. Combining transit with a mini city tour, this is a method we especially recommend to our guests.

Tersane İstanbul has been designed as a bike-friendly destination. The cycle path running along the Golden Horn waterfront provides an uninterrupted route from Eyüp all the way to Karaköy, with our destination sitting right in the middle of this corridor. From the city centre, the pleasant, flat ride takes around 20–30 minutes. Free bicycle parking and locking points are available near each of our main entrances. The city's shared bicycle stations (İSBİKE) are also active in the immediate area, so guests who don't bring their own bike can rent one by the hour through the app. On rainy days, you may request access to our sheltered parking area. The Golden Horn waterfront route, with its dedicated lane separated from motor traffic, is ideal for families and beginners. The ride is accompanied by coastal parks, historic bridge views, and the calm atmosphere of the swans on the Golden Horn. Early mornings and sunset are the most magical times of day to enjoy this route.
